• Normally, SEO experts make huge amount of efforts to produce a keyword-rich text, so that the website succeeds in attaining good search engine ranking. The same applies to mobile SEO as well, but comparatively to a greater extent. Therefore, one working on mobile SEO should thoroughly sees to it that the webpages contain relevant text and sufficient number of the desired keywords.
• In smartphones, the position of vertical results slightly differs from that on the desktop. For instance, the image results appear higher in mobile searches. No doubt, video and image optimization has a low priority in the enterprise SEO. However, the priority can change depending on the requirements of a business.
• Most of the filters available on a smartphones are different from those present on a desktop. These are mainly web, places, images, videos, maps, shopping, news and many more.
• At present, there is no option present in smartphones that can help you block contents of a particular search. However, presently Google is working hard towards making it possible for the smartphones to block unwanted web content, but for now, the feature is only available for the desktops.
• Mobile site ranking algorithms are different from those meant for desktop sites. The prime factor that differentiates the two is the location of the user. Location is one of the major aspects responsible for constantly changing the search results for mobile as well as desktop sites.
• If you own a business, you may not bother too much even if your website features at number 7 or 8 on the desktop. You know your site is available on the first page and therefore, it is likely to get the desired amount of traffic. However, holding a 7th or 8th position on mobile search result is like moving on to the second page altogether. This is definitely not what you expect.
Some people are of the opinion that those who are already into desktop SEO can easily perform the mobile SEO task.
