<fb:like href='http://www.letstalkseo.com/difference-google-adwords-google-adsense/' layout='default' show_faces='true' width='400' action='like' colorscheme='light' send='false' />

People often mix up Google AdWords with Google AdSense especially if they aren’t familiar with internet marketing. Honestly, when I started internet marketing, I thought of them as similar products by Google. Nevertheless, only one thing made sense to me that time, it was how people kept saying that these two were critical in making passive income.

So, do you wish to ask about what makes Google Adwords different from AdSense?

I will simplify things according to how I understand them. Google AdWords, are ads shown by Google and listed below ‘Sponsored Links’ and similar headings, This is usually located on the upper right corner of the Google page or at the top of the search results. If you have noticed this before and wondered how people place their products or services there, it is simply because they register an account in Google AdWords and are enjoying the results of their AdWords campaign by having plenty of traffic and a more established online presence.

Please do not misunderstand what I’ve said. These are paid ads and the fees charged are small. If there weren’t any, then everyone will take advantage of it and the right portion of the page will be filled with ads instead. Nevertheless, if this is used effectively and with well-researched keywords, you are assured of earning back your investment and making more profit. This is why Google AdWords is recognized as among the best ways to get you to hero sales from zero sales in a short time with almost no effort.

You are only charged once a visitor clicks on any of your ads. This is a reasonable set-up because you will only pay for the ads that get you traffic and sales rather than paying a set amount for none at all. This makes it a reliable and fair system. I advice anyone to research about AdWords online, one day will be enough to get acquainted with the information and then you will be set for a successful business.

It is now time to get acquainted with Google AdSense. it is not the same as AdWords, it even works the opposite way, which is, you will be the one paid! To make it simple, if you own a website or a blog and wish to earn extra, you can insert Google ads on any of your pages. This product, is not yours, it is from them and you will have the opportunity to advertise and promote it by placing it there. If a visitor clicks on the ad, you will earn money. This is a perfect tool for instant money but should not be considered for the long term. If your blog is just for fun or if you own a small site, it will not buy you a house in France! Google AdWords, is for more serious businessmen who want a long term solution to get traffic and sales. It is definitely, one of the fastest ways to succeed.

Facebook is the current and the next big thing on the internet. Poking your crushes and staying in touch with your family worldwide are just a few things that keep masses across the globe hooked to their computers, which makes Facebook a hot advertising and marketing place for business owners. Businesses of all stripes make use of Facebook to make it popular with possible clients and promote products to a very specific client market.

Facebook Pages

One of the best and primary methods of advertising and promotion through Facebook is by making a FREE Facebook Group for your business. People can visit your pages, view them, become fans and even participate by commenting and liking your updates. Facebook pages enable your fans to receive updates posted on your page, which helps promoting new products.

Facebook gives you exponential potential of growth as anytime someone becomes a fan, all of their Facebook friends can see it too. You can use your page to share details and information about your business, post photos and videos of your products and post updates regarding promotion.

When you create your own Facebook page, you can choose between these options: a local business, a brand/product, or an artist/band/public figure. Choose carefully as the category cannot be changed later and also your decision will affect your promotion later. If you are a local business, Facebook allows you to promote locally and to a very specific target market. However, if you want to spread your brand name and popularize it, choose your page as a brand/product.

On your Facebook page, appear friendly by using a polite and informal tone. Avoid using too many technical and business terms as you would do on your website. Use Facebook to build community and attract fans and actively participate in discussions and share information about your business. You don’t want to come across as too oppressive.

Facebook Groups

Facebook groups are a collection of people grouped together for a common purpose or interest, in this case, your business. People cannot become fans of your group and neither do they share much information with the friends of group members. This might look like a disadvantage but Facebook groups have their own advantages. People must become members of your group instead of becoming fans. You can send messages to your Facebook group members, which will go straight to their inbox unlike just an update notification as in Facebook pages.

Facebook groups are way more effective if you want to connect to people and future prospects on a personal level. They allow you to provide better customer service and communication with your clients and also receive feedback which brings you closer and dearer to them.

There’s a lot more to writing ads than following a formula, of course, but having this framework should get you well on the way to writing a competent, if not great, marketing piece.

If you’ve been digging around at the library and gotten into the archives of the masters you’ve almost certainly discovered the <a href="http://www.letstalkseo.com/marketing/"title="formula of AIDA" target="_self">formula of AIDA = Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. that’s a good start, but this is how it’s really done.

As you write your piece, try to get into the head of your client or prospect. What exactly are they looking for and how would they benefit from using your product or service? Furthermore, how would they benefit by buying from you rather than a competitor. So.. give it a shot.

Just one thing.. make sure you budget a whole bunch of time – even a short piece can take a non-writer as long as 10 to 20 hours to get right.

Here you go:

1. Headline (the “Attention” part)

This is, by far, the most important element – this has to be a big, bold promise of some kind. Give them a reason to read the next line.

2. Sub-Headline
Just as the purpose of the headline is to get you to read this line, the purpose of this line is to get them to read the next line. Plus, backing up the promise is really important.

3. Benefits (sort of today’s version of “Interest.”)
Use the benefits of your product (as opposed to features) to put your prospect smack in the middle of the picture. How should your customers feel when they’re using it? How would they feel if they missed out?

4. More Benefits
Skepticism is high these days; it takes a lot to convince people.

5. Proof
Testimonials work. Amazing facts are always good. Easy-to-understand statistics help, too. That sort of thing. Prove that your product does what you say it will do.

6. Risk Reversal
How about a money-back guarantee? There can be no risk whatsoever.

7. Photo
This isn’t required, but it will definitely increase your response rate. Show someone enjoying the product. Illustrate the benefits. Even a photo of you, which personalizes the piece and makes it seem real, helps a lot.

8. Offer (Just one, though)
You have to offer something. It’s amazing how many ads are produced without an offer. “It’s important to get your out name out there,” is the reason heard most often. Sorry – without an offer, your ad is dead. Nothing happens.

9. Call to Action
You must ask your prospect to do something. Really! If the rest of the ad is reasonably well-structured, people will act – they’ll take advantage of your offer and do exactly what you ask them to do. This is where your ad can become your best salesperson.

10. Reducing the Resistance to Accepting Your Offer
It’s that guarantee again. And it’s OK to mention it more than once – reducing your customer’s risk to zero is really important.

Now.. if you really want to kick it up a notch:

11. Create a Sense of Urgency
Use language like: “Just five days left..,” “Only 12 lucky golfers will..,” “Take advantage today and you’ll also get..” You know what I’m talking about, right?

So there you have it. Try writing a couple different versions and split up your mailing or post two different web pages to see which one draws responses. That’s how it’s done.

Well, there are a number of ways to do it, however, we will focus on one effective and popular way right now – Affiliate Marketing.

What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a method by which you earn from the sales made of some other products through your website. Sometimes you are even paid for the traffic you send to the product’s site from your site. You send traffic to the product’s site and if the transaction is completed, you get an appropriate commission from the sale. If a number of sales are made during a day, both the affiliate and the merchant can make a lot of money.

The benefits of affiliate marketing are that you don’t have to own a store, deal with merchandise or even transactions. There is no investment at all and you can make money just by sending the client to the merchant. The benefits for the merchant are that he doesn’t have to pay the affiliate unless the affiliate brings business to him. It’s a complete win-win situation for both merchant and affiliate.

In 2006, an estimate of US$6.5 billion was earned by the affiliates worldwide as a commission, and the figures are expected to increase each passing year.

Pros of affiliate marketing:

Ease of setting up - To become an affiliate, you just need to choose a product/service, sign up at its affiliate program (you might be asked to fulfill a few formalities) and paste the tracking code on your website. You’ll be making money from all the sales you make through your website from that point onwards.

Minimal marketing skills required – if you don’t belong to a marketing background or are not good at selling to people, you can still earn a lot from affiliate marketing. All you need to do is to concentrate on your real skill i.e. successfully running your website. If <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/seo"class="123linkit" onclick="window.open(LinkITGetLink(1357,2832935));return false" onmousedown="this.href=LinkITGetLink(1357,2832935)" onmouseout="this.href='/seo'" rel="nofollow" >SEO (<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/search-engine optimization"class="123linkit" onclick="window.open(LinkITGetLink(1357,2832935));return false" onmousedown="this.href=LinkITGetLink(1357,2832935)" onmouseout="this.href='/search-engine optimization'" rel="nofollow" >search engine optimization) is what you are good at, you can just concentrate on that and leave the marketing, sales, transaction and even legal issues for the merchant.

No investment - signing up for an affiliate program does not cost you anything and banking upon that program costs you just a little bit of your time and skill. Thus you can be an affiliate without any investments and even move to any other area, if that one doesn’t work out, without any loss.

Multiple areas of income – once you are familiar with the whole affiliate marketing process, you can apply your skills to other areas too. You can apply for as many affiliate programs as you wish and earn from different sources.

Automatic income generation – once you have a successfully running website, you can just relax and watch your bank balance grow automatically on each sale made through your site. You work on your own conditions and work comfortably at home.

Cons of affiliate marketing:

No control over programs – you don’t have any control over the programs offered by the merchant. If the competitors are offering better prices or services, you cannot do anything but wait for the merchant to change the offer. Also, you have the same offer as thousands of other affiliates, which make it difficult for you to stand out.

High competition - one of the pros of affiliate marketing is that it is really easy to sign up for a program, and so is it for everyone else. There are thousands of affiliates for the same program across the globe and the level of competition is really high. You are even competing against high skilled SEOs whose expertise is in <a href="http://www.letstalkseo.com/linkbuilding/"title="traffic" target="_self">generating traffic.

Pay on sale – this is the biggest advantage for the merchant and a disadvantage for the affiliate. The merchant only pays you when you make a sale through your website. This transfers all the marketing risk to you. You may send a lot of traffic to the merchant, but if the merchant loses the sale because of a bad offer, you don’t earn anything too. Thus, you pay for the merchant’s faults.

Middlemen - in <a href="http://www.letstalkseo.com/marketing/"title="affiliate marketing" target="_self">affiliate marketing, you also have to pay a share of your revenue to the middlemen, the biggest one being the affiliate network. The affiliate network links the affiliates with the merchant and also provides a number of reporting and tracking tools, but you pay them from the revenue you generate through sales. They also reduce the contact level affiliate has with the merchant.

All the cons above, however, can be resolved by the method of direct partnership. Through direct partnership with the merchant, you contact the merchant directly, cut out the middleman and leave more profit for the affiliate.

How do you go about a direct partnership?
First, you need to choose an area which has a good potential for high returns and less competition. Then jot down a list of merchants in that area and contact the appropriate merchant directly. Most of the merchants will entertain you properly provided you can demonstrate potential traffic and sales level. Suggest a trial run to prove yourself, and once you prove yourself, negotiate with the terms and conditions. If the merchant still turns you down, go to his competition merchant and make the same offer.

A direct partnership brings transparency between you and the merchant. Since you have a close relationship with the merchant, you can also participate actively in changing the offers and services in order to remain competitive.

Thus, affiliate marketing can earn you a handsome living through your website, if implemented properly. You just need to be patience as it takes time for a business to grow and not lose hope if one program doesn’t work out for you.

According to the post of Bob Massa in the <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/seo"class="123linkit" onclick="window.open(LinkITGetLink(1357,2832935));return false" onmousedown="this.href=LinkITGetLink(1357,2832935)" onmouseout="this.href='/seo'" rel="nofollow" >SEO Book forums, people are already aware of the ineffective results of all forms of Internet advertising. If this were true, publications such as <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="/magazines"class="123linkit" onclick="window.open(LinkITGetLink(1357,566967));return false" onmousedown="this.href=LinkITGetLink(1357,566967)" onmouseout="this.href='/magazines'" rel="nofollow" >magazines and newspapers would still be the main tools for advertising as they flourished in the early 20th century. However, we can clearly see nowadays that the paper publication industry is gradually fading and even the television industrial complex. In the past years, advertising companies utilize TV and print to boost their marketing and advertising potentials. However, both industries are struggling to recover their effectiveness as well as their revenues.

With Google’s Internet advertising techniques, people can potentially earn large profits and more importantly using convenient advertising methods. However, the favorable options may not be very accessible to advertisers without massive resources. In such cases, the generated traffic becomes isolated and reflects a very low conversion rate of just about 3 to 4 percent. This saturation in the Internet market is mainly due to the number of advertisers to choose from, making a steady stream of companies and individuals to enter the Internet advertising competition. These factors can greatly affect the effectiveness of a website in generating profits.

According to article “The End of the Free Lunch Again“, which was featured in The Economist, Google’s contribution to the advertising industry such as the use of targeted text advertisements in search engines and other websites has revitalized the industry of many business models. This also signifies that using targeted adverting can greatly increase the revenues and profits from the business. Google also provides convenience in implementing advertising methods through outsourcing. For the past years, this method was not that feasible because of certain connection issues and shortages. With the development of faster Internet connection, many Internet companies started to grow remarkably such as YouTube, MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. All of these thriving Internet stars offer services to their customers free of charge to entice a large audience and effectively increase advertising profits.

Although this can be very visible in the Internet community, there are also several companies laying people off and experience business difficulties. This just shows that not all businesses can survive through advertising alone especially in times of financial crisis. As a result, you should importantly consider finding other ways that can effectively increase your profits.

More Efficient than Free

There is a popular cliché that information should be free. This would be very favorable to consumers but this option can be unfair to publishers earning a living in delivering information especially with the rigorous effort and lots of time needed to publish excellent materials.

Moreover, the Internet makes it very easy to obtain and copy information and at the same time redistribute to the online community. This can greatly affect the circulations of newspapers since stories are readily available on the Internet and more importantly, free of charge.

The article featured on The Technium can demonstrate the situation and the possible solution to the problem. The article mentioned that copies of information lose their worth when it is abundant. It just indicates that publications that cannot be copied become limited and valuable when other copies are plentiful. Therefore, it is very important to sell things that cannot be copied and redistributed.

Reinforcing something that cannot be copied can be very effective in developing efficient and long-lasting networking strategies. The Technium suggest several traits for building a brand.

Firstly, it is very important to deal with someone you can trust.

Immediacy is also essential since being first in the line can result to increase your worth.

Keeping things personalized can be time consuming but it can effectively promote a steady relationship.

Proper interpretation of the deals can help you determine which services are free and which are not.

It is also very important to be authentic and accessible. You can apply service charges when dealing with interpretation services.

The embodiment of the free information can also increase its value.

Lastly, you need to make it easy for the customers to find and patronize your services.
