Presented to you by LetsTalkSEO.com ©

All of the SEO professionals today are striving hard to look for ways and means which, if followed, may result into a high ranking site. There is a lot of thought being put into it, so as to come out with something substantial. Today, it’s a much sought after topic.

Everyone is ready to take every little step in order to brand one’s site as rank one and thus here is a write up which may prove a little here. Most of the times, the SEO professionals disagree with each other as to what site factors affect the rankings on Google and to what an extent because these factors vary industry to industry. For the matter of fact, there are a number of topics which give rise to debates here, i.e, the mark up and the quality of the material, usage of the principal tags and the way the sites are being organized.

Nevertheless, there are still certain Google ranking factors that, the majority agrees, change the rankings of sites on Google SERP’s. However, all these happen to be just opinions and one may find out for oneself details about their application on the projects in question.

Computer Bits

For instance, use of HTML title tags in keywords leads to the consistency of the title tag with the rest of the material on the page, which in turn provides one with best of the outcome. Use of less keywords in the title is advisable. Also, do not forget the significance of quality anchor texts for inbound links. This, after all, is a link to us from another site. Which means the text has to be meaningful and it’s here that one’s on page optimization play key role. It may not be as relevant but link popularity plays a vital role in this matter. It depends on the international number of links from all sites. Although, quality links are not keen on building site authority, which in other words is ranking for more phrases than the one’s targeted in the beginning.

Old is gold! Only a hit formula sustains for long, the flop one’s drop out, same is the case with the sites. If they have managed to stay for long, specially with a constant popularity, that obviously means that it is serving something worthwhile. What is popular, is what sells. The popularity provides visitors with a splendid on-site time. This popularity is perceived as the fondness of visitors towards the site to learn more.

Be it one’s personal life or professional, always build deep links. They are relevant to the headings of title page which further affects the site’s Google ranking. I better add here that it is quality that matters and not the quantity, and that is why quality deep links hold much more weight. Also, connecting with demographically similar sites is advisable. While creating links that are topic centric. This is visitor friendly and guess what? Google loves it.

And as I said, old is gold, and thus, precious. Always keep it with you, in other words keep older links because they result in web stability and trust towards them. Keep keywords in the body text and make sure they get their due attention and are highlighted enough. Keywords in HTML text should match with the ones present in site meta data.

Now, let me throw light on certain acts which are totally forbidden.

Use of session id’s in URLs is a total no no. It might seem pretty lucrative initially but later it does have many drawbacks and one of them is that every time a spider crawls the site a new ID is created and now it has two or more URL’S showing the duplicate content. A trusted web host in any day is better than a server located in some remote corner of the country which is not even accessible by the spider and thus is unreachable to the visitors. If one act that should be forbidden professionally as well as ethically is plagiarism or using duplicate content because besides everybody else, Google hates it. Furthermore, to help your site progress in Google, shun bad company; in other words don’t get attached to links farms and sites which have no relevant content at all. Avoid web frauds or else you risk being penalized or banned or dropped in your page rank.

Keeping a log in procedure for visitors in order to access the site is also not advisable since it confuses the BOT and may refrain visitors from having a look at the quality material present in the site. Using frames is not suggested since they are also not very BOT friendly, as they aim at presenting more than one page in the home page. Frames should be taken up as the last measure. Usage of duplicate title tags may seem very nice but in a long run it just wastes BOT’S time and will fetch negative consequences in the end. Do not overdo keywords, choose a few keywords and spread them from tip to toe of the text body.

Last but not the least, as I have been saying throughout the entire topic, one can’t afford to overlook quality here. While constructing the site, keep it inaccessible to the spiders. This inaccessibility may cost you a little in ranking but it’s better this way. Always emphasizes on quality over quantity and gives Google – the most popular search engine, what it wants.
